Our Approval Criteria

At huddle, we’re all about uplifting local small businesses and showcasing unique local flavors. To be eligible, your business must meet the Canadian government’s definition of a small business, which means having fewer than 100 employees. This excludes multinational corporations, large retailers, and multi-door franchises from participating in our programs. Additionally, we cannot support anything illegal, fundamentally unethical, or unsuitable for public viewing. Our focus is on supporting the small guys and gals who contribute to the vitality of our communities. If by chance a big fish slips through, our vigilant community will report it, and we’ll act.

Plan Selection and Payment Process

CONNECTOR Plan – FREE directory listing

  1. Create your listing.
  2. At checkout, payment will process for $0 for this FREE plan.
  3. Your listing will go to a “pending” state until approved by a huddle administrator. The approval will take approx. 24 – 48 hours.
  4. You will receive an email advising you of your listing approval status.
  5. Once your listing is live you will have access to your dashboard and your listing features.
  6. You can upgrade your plan anytime via your dashboard.

PROMOTER Plan – Paid Directory Listing

  1. Create your listing.
  2. When selecting this plan, you have the option of monthly billing OR select annual billing and receive a 20% discount (30-day free trial not available with annual billing).
  3. At checkout, you will need to input your credit card information for monthly auto-billing once your 30-day free trial period ends.
  4. Your listing will go to a “pending” state until approved by a huddle administrator. The approval will take approx. 24 – 48 hours.
  5. You will receive an email advising you of your listing approval status.
  6. Once your listing is live you will have access to your dashboard and your upgraded listing features.
  7. Following the trial period, your monthly subscription kicks in, and automatic billing will commence.
  8. You can change your plan anytime via your dashboard.

ACCELERATOR Plan – Directory Listing & Direct Mail Campaign

To secure a spot in your community’s direct mail planner for the upcoming campaign distribution, selecting this plan requires an approval process, as there are only 32 ad spots available, with just one per business category.

  1. To be eligible to apply for the Accelerator plan you must be subscribed to the Promoter plan.
  2. Once subscribed to the Promoter plan, you can access the Accelerator plan application form on your dashboard.
  3. Fully complete and submit your application.
  4. Your submission will be reviewed and responded to within 24 – 48 hours.
  5. If approved and a spot is available, you will be elevated to the Accelerator plan. You will need to pay your invoice via the link provided in your approval email within 24 hours to secure your participation.
  6. If an ad spot isn’t available for your business category on your community’s planner, we will automatically notify you if you opted into the waiting list. While there’s no obligation, you’ll need to act quickly to secure an offered spot. Remember, eligibility requires a subscription to the Promoter plan.
  7. Once you have secured a spot, it is yours until you decide you no longer want to participate.
  8. Accelerator plans are set to auto-renew.
  9. If you do not wish to renew your Accelerator plan, you can opt out of the auto renewal in your dashboard. You will be downgraded to the Promoter plan. You can always re-apply for the Accelerator plan in the future.
